Chemistry Classes Fall 2022

Looking for Chemistry classes this fall? I offer a couple of different classes.

High School Chemistry Crash Course
This is a flexible schedule course, meaning that there are no live meetings. Each week, you will watch the videos (via an unlisted YouTube link which will be posted in the classroom) and work through the practice problems.
This class is designed as an introduction to core concepts in chemistry. In order to understand the material, the student needs to have completed Algebra I and should have access to a scientific calculator. Students who take and understand this course will be very well prepared for further, more in-depth chemistry courses. Hopefully, they will also gain an appreciation for chemistry around them in their everyday lives.

High School Chemistry - Live Course
In this 10-week course, students will be introduced to the basics of high school Chemistry. This course is designed to be part 1 (of a 3-part) high school chemistry course that gives the student a good foundation in chemistry in order to prepare him or her for a college-level course. In order to understand the material, the student needs to have completed Algebra I and should have access to a scientific calculator. Students who take and understand this course will be very well prepared for a tough university chemistry course. Hopefully, they will also gain an appreciation for chemistry around them in their everyday lives.

Online Classes

New Online ACT Preparation Course 2022

 

Is your high-school student taking the ACT test this year?

Here is an opportunity to help your student get ready for the test by---
- finding out what to expect on the test
- learning test-taking strategies
- reviewing the content that the test covers

The course will meet for two two-hour sessions over zoom. Each session will cover two sections of the ACT.
It will meet on Thursday afternoons from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Dates: May 26 and June 2
Location: online through Zoom

Cost: $100.00 per student for the entire course. Includes materials.

Registration deadline: Friday, May 20, 2022

New ACT Preparation Courses - May and June 2022

I am offering the test preparation course at three different times (each track will cover the same material). See below.

Tracks 1 and 2 will meet in person in Eden Prairie. Track 3 will meet over zoom. If none of the dates listed below work for you and you are still interested in the class, please contact me through the contact form and we can try to work something out.

Track 1 will meet for two two-hour sessions. Each session will cover two sections of the ACT.
It will meet on Friday afternoons from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Dates: May 20 and 27
Location: Eden Prairie

Track 2 will meet for two two-hour sessions. Each session will cover two sections of the ACT.
It will meet on Thursday mornings from 10 am to noon.
Dates: May 26 and June 2
Location: Eden Prairie

Track 3 will meet for two two-hour sessions. Each session will cover two sections of the ACT.
It will meet on Thursday afternoons from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Dates: May 26 and June 2
Location: online through Zoom
